THE LAKERS AT HIS MERCY!

23 year old Paul Flowers stands on the precipice of living 'one dream' - the opportunity to win America's NCAA Div. ll championship at his first attempt.
The Cheadle raised, stand-out midfielder goes up against the might of Mercyhurst this Saturday with a win guaranteeing his NYIT outfit a semi-final berth next month at the famous M & T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Maryland.

The #40 "power sweeper" is licking his lips at the prospect of performing in front of what will already be over 20,00 Lacrosse fans next month (May) including a number of Brits making their way over the pond to cheer him on.

The current England international recently summed up he has been "playing pretty well, I've got myself around 15 goals and a couple of assists, I'm pleased and I believe Coach (Kaley) is also happy."

He went on to reveal:- "Just for a little insight it's both fantastic and hell over here! It's great because the team is really good, I get on really well with them all (his introducing them to the delights of Stella Artois early on probably helped his cause!), the Lacrosse is great and Long Island is fantastic."

"BUT PRACTICE IS BRUTAL!"

"It's probably the most physically demanding thing I have ever done (what, worse than a night out with Lynchy?!). 5 practices a week with a game! And Coach Jack Kaley definately puts us through our paces during every session."

Flowersey continued:- "The weather is about 85 degrees this week which makes it even harder."

"But if I get a championship ring on my finger by the end of it I'll be happy."
 Good luck Paul!
